Honey’s Story

By October 11, 2022 Greenbay Vet News

Gorgeous little Honey came in recently with cystitis symptoms (blood in her urine and frequent squatting to wee). A simple urine test showed that she had a urine infection, which was treated with antibiotics.

Sadly treatment for the infection didn’t resolve the issues, so we advised some further investigations and she had an ultrasound scan. This revealed that poor Honey had developed a huge bladder stone, which can occasionally happen secondary to a urine infection in dogs.

Honey had an operation to remove the stone, and we imagine she felt hugely relieved afterwards bless her! It was one of the largest bladder stones any of the team have ever seen.

We are pleased to report that Honey recovered well from her operation and will be monitored for any further issues in future.
